Time to replace that expensive printhead? Don’t be so sure.

Common signs of a worn or failing printhead: 

• ·         Your printer’s display says that you're low on ink but you have a full cartridge.
• ·         Print jobs come out partially printed or streaky.
• ·         You notice a loss in overall print quality.
• ·         You’re getting a printhead error (“Replace/Reseat Printhead”, “Missing or Failed Printhead”, “Printhead Temperature Too High”, etc…)
• ·         Printhead alignment fails.
• ·         Cleaning cycles are running more frequently and are becoming less effective.
• ·         Printer won’t print at all.

All of the conditions listed above can indicate that your printhead (PH) needs to be replaced. But not always. The truth is, many PH problems can be solved without the cost of replacement.

Extend the Life of your printheads 

The most common cause of these failures or error messages is a dirty or clogged PH. Over time a buildup of dried ink and ink residue leads to the partial or complete blockage of the PH nozzles.  

At Plotter Mechanix we have developed a variety of methods to clean and recover clogged printheads. Our exclusive Printhead Recovery System can restore printheads used with: solvent/eco-solvent ink, water-based ink (dye and pigment), latex ink, dye-sublimation ink and UV Curable.

We offer our recovery service for today’s most widely used large-format printers: HP, Canon, Epson, Mimaki, Mutoh and Roland.

*Our recovery systems restore printheads with clogged nozzles and or trapped air. Not all printheads can be fully recovered due to mechanical factors like material fatigue, electrical malfunction and/or physical damage.
